To Create a Bookmark Automatically

  1. In the Work Package dialog, select the component you want to bookmark, right-click and select focus.

    The focused component displays in the application window.

  2. In the Bookmarks dialog, click Work Package Bookmarks.
  3. In the Work Package Bookmark Options dialog that opens, set the Transparency and Distance Factor and then click OK.

    The Transparency value determines the transparency of the rest of the objects; 0 makes the objects completely opaque. The Distance Factor determines the distance to the object. Set to 1.0 to fit to the view; set to less than 1.0 to get closer into the view and set to larger than 1.0 to get farther out of the view.

  4. Double-click a bookmark with the desired view (for example, Front, Right, Top, Isometric) and the auto-generated view displays in the application window.
  5. In the Work Package dialog, add another component to the work package.
  6. In the Bookmarks dialog, click the work package and the view is dynamically updated.
